Collin Haben

Meet Dr. Haben

Dr. Collin Haben is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in total joint replacement. With a patient-first philosophy and advanced surgical training, he brings an expert approach to joint care in the Cedar Valley. His goal is to help each patient move with less pain and more confidence, whether they’re navigating everyday activities or returning to the things they love most.

His clinical interests include

• Technology-assisted joint replacement
• Revision joint replacement
• Minimally invasive and muscle-sparing techniques
• Rapid recovery protocols

Dr. Haben began his path to medicine at the University of Akron, where he earned dual degrees in Biomedical Engineering and Biochemistry. This background provided the foundation for his interest in orthopedic surgery, and he went on to earn his medical degree from Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. After graduating, he completed his orthopedic residency at Western Reserve Hospital, where he gained broad training in fracture care, sports injury care, and holistic musculoskeletal care.

He then pursued advanced fellowship training in total joint surgery at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Here, he honed his skills in anterior approach hip replacement, robotic total joint replacement, complex joint reconstruction, and muscle-sparing/minimally invasive techniques.

As someone who grew up in the Midwest, Dr. Haben has a strong appreciation for community and service. He is proud to call Cedar Falls, Iowa, home and looks forward to contributing to the health and well-being of residents in the Cedar Valley.

When he’s not in the clinic or operating room, Dr. Haben enjoys spending time outdoors and with his wife and two young children. He is excited to be part of the Cedar Valley community and looks forward to establishing lasting relationships with his patients.
